We own a freeze drying business and most of the time we don’t cut taffy, but when we do, we prefer to cut it in three or six pieces which hit the sizes we like to sell.
We’re a family business that is involved in many different things, but we love to 3d print and make useful tools. These cutters fill a niche that we couldn’t find elsewhere. They have tapered edges to help cut the taffy pieces. We line up a bunch of unwrapped taffy and then slice piece after piece back to back.
If we need to cut taffy smaller, we make one cut then pull and rotate to make the 2nd cut. This slicer is able to cut through starbursts as well. It’s as easy as pressing it down with your palm.
Please make sure the taffy is not too hard, such as being frozen or stale. We often microwave taffy for 5 seconds to soften it slightly.
The 3 way cutter is also much more open and easy to clean. We recommend hand washing as PLA plastic can and will warp in a dish washer during the dry cycle.
We have many colors, fill free to message us first to make a request. We can personalize the design. Selecting “First Available” will get faster shipping times, a random color, and usually a discount because it helps us optimize our inventory.
All 3d printed items may have slight blemishes and will be individually unique from the ones in the photo. They will all be fully functional. If we have a print error and produce a very unique but still functional print, it will be listed with a special discount on its own.

This print was designed by our family. It is printed with environmentally friendly PLA plastic. We can print in a few other plastics if requested.
